Speed
We are constantly hearing about new speed barriers being broken by FTTH networks worldwide. (Go, Chattanooga!)

1 comment:
Superfast - 1 Gigabit / sec. (Uni-Gig.);
Fast - 100 Megabit / sec. (Hektamega);
Decent - 50 Megabit / sec. (Ell or Lima);
Base - 10 Megabit / sec. (Dekamega).
ALL listed speeds are symmetric.
Note - The "Superfast" crown will be held by Uni-Gig. so long as the price remains high. Just as Uni-Gig. Ethernet was once a premium feature and then evolved into a commodity product so will Uni-Gig. fat pipes come down in price. The "Ell" or "Lima" tier (remember Roman numerals ?) is needed to compete with the 40Mbps products out there in Cu-land.
